Stay home and take a second glance ‘cuz I hate being alone. Is there no second chance?
or no some sort of middle stance? I think the friction belongs but I’m worn to grains of sand.
We can walk, we can talk, we can live it ‘till we crawl but can we live like they say?
We can stall, we can fall while we’re running down their hall but after the holiday, can we stay?
We’re on fire. There was no one else to call so I wrote it on the wall and it read:
We’re on fire. Like those stories as a child, we were innocent and wild but it ends.
You spoke and with a fire chant. Wanted to watch you glow but I could barely stand
and so, shielded with my empty hands. Those blinders, they couldn’t show the horror or the plan.
I know I’ve got a dangerous desire and now it’s finally exposed but all our time’s expired
You know you’re such a lovely liar but now the truth’s in the tone and baby…we’re on fire.
